INFO
Wraiths will appear with Images, Geists, and/or Specters and are only found in the Ice Cave.
STRATEGY
Wraiths are pretty strong when you first find them. They can stun you, so I'd run away. Otherwise, a healthy dose of FIR2 or HRM2 is in order.
MYTH/ORIGIN/OTHER GAMES
Wraiths are called Specters in the Japanese version and FF Origins. Specter is just another name for a ghost, or more specifically, a ghost you can see. The word is rooted in Latin, specto means "to look". It can also be found in such words as spectacle, spectator, spectrum, and spectacular. In Dungeons & Dragons, specters are undead spirits that hate the living and dwell in desolate places. Specters also appear in FF2, FF6, FF11 and Mystic Quest. For more info about wraiths, see Image. For more about ghosts, see Ghost.
