Sea Snakes appear with Lobsters and Sea Trolls. They're only found in the Sea Shrine and the final dungeon.
STRATEGY
Being Water monsters, they are weak to Lit spells, and resistant to Fire and Earth. Also, they're in the Dragon category, so the Dragon Sword (Wyrm Killer) is more effective (in the WSC version). Of course by then you should have stronger weapons anyway.
MYTH/ORIGIN/OTHER GAMES
Sea Snakes are the same thing in every version. Sea snakes (hydrophidæ) are venomous snakes that live in warm seas. Makes me wonder why they aren't poisonous in the game. Anyway, they don't appear in any later FFs.
