You win the ship for defeating them, the townsfolk also return. STRATEGY Pirates are super wusses! They have the lowest HP in the game. :) The problem with them is their high attack power and large number. Watch your HP. The best thing to do is have everyone attack a different one. A Slep spell can be handy too. MYTH/ORIGIN/OTHER GAMES Pirates are still pirates in the Japanese version (and FF Origins), the Japanese word for pirate is kaizoku. Sound familiar? The Kyzoku enemy was obviously named after this. Anyway, pirates are sea-robbers, if you didn't know. There are pirates in FF2, and also FF5, but not as enemies.
