INFO
Lobsters appear with Sea Snakes and Sea Trolls. You'll only find them in the Sea Shrine and final dungeon.
STRATEGY
A couple of shots of LIT2 (preferably from the Zeus Gauntlet or Thor's Hammer) should work well. They can poison, so I usually don't bother fighting them.
MYTH/ORIGIN/OTHER GAMES
Lobsters are called Sea Scorpions in the Japanese version and FF Origins. Another completely screwy translation issue. Explains why Lobsters can poison you but Cobras can't. *sigh* Anyway, I don't think there's any real life basis for Sea Scorpions specifically, they're just Scorpions that live in the sea. They also don't appear in later games. See Scorpion for more scorpion-related info. Lobsters are large, sea-dwelling crustaceans with claws that rich people pay a lot of money to eat for some reason. :-)
