The Mirage Tower isn't the only thing of interest here. You can also find one of the rarest enemies in the game.

Park your airship here to go to the Mirage Tower.

This desert (and some area surrounding it) is the only place you can find the extremely rare T Rex. They are even more rare than WarMech. The only thing that matches its rarity is the IronGol.

Well anyway, head on in to the Mirage Tower. (If you come here without the Chime you can't get in.)
