The Mirage Tower is the gateway to the Sky Castle. It's also loaded with good treasure.

FLOOR 1



Enemies:



The stairway to the next floor is right there, but you'd rather go up and get treasure.

That's a pretty sad amount for this point in the game.

I don't know what to tell you about this. It casts Heal if you use it as an item, but it takes up a valuable armor spot. I usually give it to my Knight. It's not the best helmet, but it's close. You may want to just sell it. In the remake you'll definitely want to keep it though.

That's not bad.

Now that's what I like to see.

I don't understand this sword. It's weaker than the Ice Sword, and it doesn't have any fancy powers. What's the point? I guess it's supposed to critical more often, but doesn't because of a bug. Still not worth it though.

Here we go, the best shield in the game. It protects against status changing spells like MUTE, BRAK, GLANCE, STUN, SLEP, etc.

Not bad.

Yeck, cheapskates!

FLOOR 2



Enemies:



On this floor just go around counter-clockwise until you get to the doors into the room. After that head up to the stairs.

Nice.

Also nice.

This is the best hammer, and it casts LIT2 when you use it as an item. Best of all, it's purple! It ranks up there with the Power Staff as being one of the coolest looking weapons.

Very nice.

Not quite as very nice.

Not as nice, but still good.

This is not un-good.

This is one of the better swords, and in the remake it's good against undead.

Still in the whole "good" range.

This is the best armor in the game. It protects against Fire, Ice, and Lightning.

These aren't the droids we're looking for.

FLOOR 3

There's a Blue Dragon waiting just inside the room. Be prepared.

Cast ALIT right away. It has a nasty THUNDER attack. Other than that, just use FAST and pound repeatedly.

He's right you know. If you haven't been to the Waterfall to get the Cube, you can't go to the Sky Castle.
