Crescent Lake is surprisingly empty. Apart from the sages and shopkeepers, there're only 2 people in town.
Talk of the Town
What is this, an Adam Sandler movie?
If this guy's asleep, how the hell is he walking and turning to answer me?
Here we have the Circle of SagesŪ. They'll usually have some new info for you after each important event.
Gee, thanks mister. (You can only get the canoe if you've already defeated Lich. So if you haven't, get your sorry butt over there and do it!)
Really, did you come to see the Christ-child?
Wow, that must suck.
I'm learnding!
Mmmm, crush. Sounds deliciously violent.
200 years and they haven't done it yet? What a couple of losers.
Well, not no more he don't.
That just sounds pathetic. Ooh, burn everything, scary.
Okie dokie.
Well yeah, we rule! Go Light Warriors, woooooo!
What? It's not as if anything bad has already happened. At least with Lich you could see the problems he'd been causing.
Jeez, that's just one big pile of suck, ain't it?
Hey, Lukahn! Wassssuuuuuup?
Local Commerce in Action
The price of the inn has doubled since Melmond, but that's nothing. See the fabulous price of the clinic...
Yipes! A whopping 400G, try to avoid dying if you can. :)
Nothing special here really.
There's lots of silver stuff here. The Silver Armor and buckler are good choices for a Red Mage. The shield, helmet, and guantlet are all good for a Fighter, but they can all be found in chests elsewhere.
Nothing here is particularly earth-shattering. You probably have most of it already. The Silver Axe is a little stronger than the Silver Sword, but it's not worth it because the hit% is so low.
These are all good spells. EXIT is an absolute must. Anyone/everyone who can learn it should. (You won't be able to until after the class change tho.) INV2 is good, but you'll evetually get an item that will cast it for free. It's up to you whether to get it. SOFT isn't especially useful, you don't get stoned that often.
Get Red & Black Mages LIT3. The fiend of fire is supposed to be weak to STUN, but I've never had much luck with it, so I wouldn't recommend it.
With the canoe at your disposal you can explore the rest of the continent. A few options are open to you, but in any case, you're in for a long boat ride.
