Welcome to the Marsh Cave. When I was 9 or so this place just scared the crap out of me. I always worried of getting slaughtered by gargoyles or something. (Not literally, but it was still scary.) I hated the dreaded trip to the Marsh Cave. The creepy music set the mood perfectly. The Mirage Tower also bothered me, probably due to it sharing the music. Did you buy LIT2 before coming here? I hope so.
There're quite a few bats here, four on this floor.
To be as safe as possible don't fight anything, but here's what you should especially avoid. Scorpions, arachnids, and werewolves will poison you. Scum will not only poison you but weapons are ineffective. Finally, ghouls and crawls will stun you and slowly beat the crap out of you.
The staircase to the north will take you to floor 2A. Don't bother going, there is nothing good there anyway. But if you must...
More bats, 3 of 'em here.
This chest is a little weird. It shares its contents with a chest on floor 2B. If you get one, the other will be empty.
See what I mean? There's nothing good here.
This chest shares its contents with 2 chests on floor 2B.
Again, there's not really much reason to go here.
Back down to floor one, go to the south to find a ladder leading down.
I guess creepiness is measured by the number of bats flying around. There are 10 here.
This chest shares its contents with a chest on floor 2A. I wouldn't bother with this. It's a long walk.
This chest shares its contents with a chest on floor 2A and with the next chest.
This is the one I just mentioned. I wonder why 2 chests so close to each other are like this.
Travel in and out of this room and there's the staircase.
Don't bother getting all the chests on this floor. Just head to the room with the crown and get the ones that are on the way there.
Going by my previous assumption, this floor must be really creepy, there are 16 bats here.
This Iron Armor will be handy if you didn't already buy one. This chest shares its contents with 2 others on this floor.
Don't bother with this one.
Throw this onto one of your mages if you didn't already buy them one.
Mmmm, HOUSE. Like CABINs, I never use these because they are expensive. I usually have the ones I got from chests lying around and use them when I run out of TENTs.
Here's another of the chests that share the Iron Armor.
Walk into this room and you'll see statues surrounding a chest. Looks important! Get everyone to full health because step up to the chest and you'll fight...
Wizards! So they stole the crown. If you are lucky you'll only fight 2, in which case they shouldn't be much trouble. Everyone who has LIT2 should use it, everyone else should fight and keep an eye on everybody's health.
Yes! You got the crown! Now you can take it back to the king at the Northwest Castle. MAKE SURE YOU DON'T STEP DOWN BEFORE YOU GET IT! If you do you'll have to fight the wizards again.
Don't bother with this one either.
Here's the other chest that shares that Iron Armor.
Thankfully, this is the last time you need to worry about locked doors.
Alright, hoof it out of here quick, and save when you get outside. Then you're off to the Northwest Castle. You may want to stop back at ElfLand if you're low on supplies, but you probably won't be.
