Worthless

                             Chapter 9
                 Robots and Fairies and Springs (Oh my!)

After lighting the second Orb, the Four returned to Crescent Lake to buy
Exit, and to Melmond for Warp. Then they headed for Gaia to sell stuff that
was weighing them down and to buy the Cat Claw. There they learned that
there was a fairy living in this town that could draw out Oxyale, whatever
that was. However, the fairy was missing from her spring. They figured
they'd probably need the stuff and so they set out to find her.

They came to a river town called Onrac. There, they learned why they would
need the Oxyale. Kraken, the Fiend of Water, lived in an underwater Sea
Shrine. A girl built a submarine, but they needed Oxyale if they were to
breathe underwater and defeat Kraken. They also found out that the fairy had
been taken by the master of a desert caravan to the northwest. They also saw
a dancer who talked about having beautiful legs. Red concurred.

The Warriors rose up in their airship and found the desert, but there was no
landing place anywhere near the caravan. In an impossible stroke of luck,
they landed right on top of it. They went in and found the fairy...

"50000 G?!? The CatClaw was only barely more expensive than that!"

They returned to Onrac and discovered that the town drunk, Kope, had seen a
UFO to the north. They found the man, which was fairly easy; bottles of ale,
rum, whiskey, and every other conceivable hard brew that could be found were
scattered around him.

In a slurred voice, he would say to anyone who would listen "I sawed it, to
da nort, round da waderfall, shiney flying thingy." They figured that would
be an important destination so they set out for the northern waterfall,
where he said it landed. They canoed up the river to the waterfall and they
passed into it, getting considerably wet along the way.

Behind the falls was a cavern, where the "thingy" supposedly landed. They
fought some pretty tough monsters in there, among them Mud Golems and
Perilisks. They ended up fine, however. Inside they found some great
treasure, such as a Defense Sword for Red. They also found the UFO: a robot
from the legendary Sky Castle. He gave them a Cube, which would perform an
important task in the Sky Castle. As of now, however, it was useless.

Inside they had raised enough funds to free the Fairy, and so they did. They
broke her bottle, and she flew away to Gaia. They pursued her and came to
the spring, where she thanked them and gave them Oxyale. Now they could
enter the Sea Shrine.
